Shares Deep Conversation on Nigeria
Popular social critic and activist, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has shared details of a profound moment with Grammy winning artist Burna Boy during a recent link-up.
According to VDM, the two connected at a club, where Burna Boy praised him for being “real” and shared his thoughts on criticism, saying, “I don’t mind the criticism so long as it’s real, and I know you are very real.”
Burna Boy went on to lament how “Nigerians always want to see the good people fall”, urging VDM to remain strong and committed to his cause.
Their discussion, which reportedly lasted from inside the club until daylight, focused entirely on Nigeria and Africa, without mention of politics, girls, cars, or money.
VDM expressed admiration for Burna Boy’s depth of knowledge in history and national issues. Summing up their time together, he quoted Burna Boy as saying, “Nigeria go better”, and expressing support for the Ratel Movement.
The post has since gone viral, with many commending both men for prioritizing national issues in a time often dominated by celebrity glitz.
